Use Tupperware to keep food fresh. The good news is
that the Dollar Store carries good food storage containers for a buck.
I've bought Glad Ware from the Dollar Store in my area. Here again the
Publix brand storage containers have lasted just as long as performed
just as well as the leading national brands.
In the end everyone one of us has their own
consumption level and grocery budget to deal with. Just remember your
budget may put a damper on it but you don't have to give up everything
when it does. If you have no time at all to fix your meal before work –
the snooze button can fail or is it that we fail by using it – then
dollar menus can save your wallet. When you can, treat yourself to a
meal out. It’s weird though, I started liking some of my recipes better
than the restaurants.
Eating can be a very social event for many of us.
Who knows, if you don’t already work in an environment where people eat
their lunches in the break room you may just start a trend. If you and
that co-worker use to spend lunch together ask them to meet you in the
lunchroom for lunch instead of a restaurant. At my place of work people
have started doing cooking challenges. They even ask their other
co-workers what they are brining in tomorrow to give them an idea of
what to make. Get this, even some of those who have families at home and
a schedule from you know where still find the time to make their lunch
before work.
The funny thing is about a bad economy – at least
from what I have seen – is that you have to work even harder to have a
bit more out of life and it brings more self appreciation at what you
can accomplish. Makes you wonder doesn’t it?
